Welcome to the Policy Page of Gram Bangla Unnayan Sangstha (GBUS). Here, we outline our organizational principles, procedures, and commitments to ensure transparency, accountability, and ethical conduct in all our activities.
GBUS is committed to achieving sustainable human development, poverty reduction, and environmental preservation. Our mission is rooted in a bottom-up approach, working closely with communities, especially women and the hardcore poor, to uplift their socio-economic conditions and foster a just society.
We adhere to high standards of transparency and accountability in all our dealings. Financial records are maintained meticulously, and we are committed to providing accurate and timely information to our stakeholders, including donors, partners, and the communities we serve.
GBUS operates under a three-tier governance structure comprising the General Body, Executive Committee (EC), and Advisory Council. The EC, elected or selected every three years, oversees the day-to-day operations, and the Advisory Council provides valuable guidance for the benefit of the organization and its target population.
Our financial management follows established policies and guidelines. Expenditures are monitored and audited by recognized audit firms recommended by the EC. We maintain separate accounts for various projects and adhere to the regulations set forth by funding authorities.
GBUS values its human resources and has developed Service Rules that outline recruitment policies, probationary periods, job descriptions, and benefits. Staff members undergo need-based training for skill development and knowledge enhancement.
A robust monitoring and evaluation system is in place to ensure the effective implementation of program activities. The EC, along with the Director, oversees the progress, and regular staff meetings are conducted to address any issues or concerns.
Field-level staff members are required to submit monthly progress reports, which are compiled into project-wise quarterly reports for donors and concerned authorities. This reporting system ensures transparency and accountability in our operations.
We have established a Code of Conduct for all staff members, volunteers, and partners associated with GBUS. This code outlines ethical behavior, respect for diversity, and commitment to our mission and values.
GBUS is committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of the data we collect. We adhere to data protection laws and ensure that sensitive information is securely stored and used only for the intended purposes.
We welcome feedback and take complaints and grievances seriously. Our organization has established a mechanism for reporting and addressing complaints, ensuring a fair and transparent resolution process.
GBUS has a zero-tolerance policy for corruption. We are committed to conducting all activities with integrity and complying with local and international anti-corruption laws.
We recognize the importance of environmental sustainability and strive to implement eco-friendly practices in our projects. Our aim is to contribute to the well-being of communities while minimizing our ecological footprint.
At GBUS, we are dedicated to upholding these policies and principles in our pursuit of positive social impact. If you have any questions or concerns regarding our policies, please feel free to contact us.
